GAB Instructor Training

This is a new service I’m able to provide to help others who would also like to become a GAB Instructor.

People who become GAB Instructors come from a variety of backgrounds–some are writers or researchers; some are teachers; some have worked in helping professions. Many have come out of the field of psychology. Some have been a participant in a regular GAB workshop series and know they’d love to do this too.

Those who become GAB Instructors are people who are genuinely curious about others and interested in the stories they share. They are not afraid to talk about sensitive issues and, while not therapists, GAB Instructors are empathetic and nonjudgmental.

If you want to find out more about the classes I’ll be offering, please write to me. Classes run for 8 weeks, 3 hours/week. The fee is $450 USD (or CAD equivalent).

I will be offering one class in the new year:

Fridays, 11:30am to 2:30pm (PST), January 17 to March 6th. (Orientation January 10th, 11:30am to 12:30pm)

“I studied with Wendy in Sep.-Nov. 2019 in her on-line course, and felt that it was time, money  and effort well-spent with exceptional value. What I liked best about the experience was that I knew Wendy was taking the whole process with an attitude of utmost professionalism. Her background as a writer and researcher brought all kinds of added value in the understanding of story, the written word, and getting the message across. When one is talking about “life stories”, there is a natural tendency to wish to expand and go on and on. It took the sensitivity, intelligence, professionalism and inter-personal caring of Wendy to navigate the waters and leave us all with a wonderful feeling, a box full of tools and the desire to take GAB with us out into the world.” (Ronnie, Israel)
